Pollution and Profits
The profits of a company tend to be placed over people. Regulators are placed in the public trust to protect us. The public has been harmed by pollution prior to beginning of regulations. The regulators can’t take the blame for past mistakes which have brought harm to the public. However, today, bureaucracy can sometimes accidentally cause new mistakes and damages; when agencies don’t coordinate together. Our health and safety depends of the whole, or sum, of all of the bureaucracies parts. The limited powers of each of these agencies can create an ineptitude. E.N.O.U.G.H. is here to bring attention to these bureaucratic ineptitudes and incompetent gaps. Then E.N.O.U.G.H. can hopefully cause corrections before more people become harmed.
There is enough waste in Western New York
We say NO to any more hazardous waste being disposed of anywhere in Western New York. We, plus other allied environmental groups, plan to do battle with the hazardous waste industry. There is an environmental injustice that has been imposed on the people of Western new York.
Do you really believe that all the waste we are exposed to in W.N.Y. is not harming us ? The high rates of cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, autoimmune diseases, digestive system disease and neurological dysfunction are directly related to the environment we live in.
Arguments of genetics, poor diet and irresponsible lifestyle have their place; however, there is no question that environmental risk factors are the major cause of human illnesses that keep medical institutions busy.
