We are an ad-hoc not-for-profit organization started by the Concerned Citizens’ of Hamburg, whose mission statement includes the ending of the disposing of hazardous waste in Western New York.  Our caring stake in W.N.Y.’s future causes us to oppose the creation or expansion of any more hazardous waste hazardous waste sites (TSDF’s) in this region. We believe that W.N.Y. is an environmental injustice region. We also advocate further groundwater, soil & air testing at the 7,500 acre Lake Ontario Ordinance Works (LOOW) in Niagara County which includes the Lew-Port High School. LOOW’s 3 manmade drainage ditches  are directly discharging into the 4 Mile , 6Mile & 12 Mile Creeks which empty into Lake Ontario. Canadian officials have reported the detection of radiation at the mouth of the Niagara River. We are also urging for further off site testing on private properties to determine the extent of  migration of contaminants coming from LOOW.

Philip Best and Renee Retton are the primary environmental activists of E.N.O.U.G.H. They are also forcing a referendum in the Town of Porter which will allow the taxpayers decide whether C.W.M., a Waste Management Company, should be permitted to double the current capacity to accept hazardous waste at the LOOW site. C.W.M. is currently the only permitted site in the Northeast United States which accepts hazardous waste.
